Work Conditioning and Hardening

Work Conditioning

A 2 hour per day, 5 day per week, 4+ week program consisting of general strengthening and conditioning, as well as injury specific exercise and general work simulation tasks.  This program is aimed at increasing an individual’s function and ability in order to allow them to return to some type of work.  It can also help advance part time, light duty workers toward performing their normal job duties.

Work Hardening

A 4-6 week program consisting of strengthening, conditioning, specific work simulation tasks and body mechanics instruction.  The program starts at 4 hours per day, 5 days per week, and increases to 8 hours per day.  It is designed to prepare an individual physically to return to a specific job position.
